DelhiThe President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu reached Skopje, North Macedonia yesterday evening (July 20, 2026), on the second leg of her State Visits to Moldova, North Macedonia and Romania. This is the first visit by an Indian President to North Macedonia.

On her arrival at the Skopje International Airport, she was warmly received by Mr. Timcho Mucunski, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade, North Macedonia.

On this State visit, the President is accompanied by Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Smt. Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, and Members of Parliament Dr. Dinesh Sharma and Shri Vijay Baghel.

Today (July 21, 2026), the President commenced her engagements with the visit to Villa Vodno, the official residence and office of the President of North Macedonia. She was warmly received by H.E. Dr. Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, President of the Republic of North Macedonia. She was accorded a ceremonial welcome and guard of honour. During one-to-one meeting and delegation-level talks, the two leaders discussed full range of bilateral cooperation, and exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. They reaffirmed deep and friendly bilateral ties, grounded in shared democratic values and mutual respect.

The President said that economic cooperation is an extremely important pillar of the India-North Macedonia bilateral relationship. She emphasized cooperation in key sectors, including IT/ITES, agriculture, food processing, pharmaceuticals, textiles and bio-tech, tourism, hospitality, and film-making.

The President said that cultural and people-to-people ties have always been among the strongest pillars of the bilateral relationship. She highlighted that collaboration in the field of creative industry is an important aspect of cultural exchanges.

The President said that India seeks to foster international cooperation through initiatives like the International Solar Alliance (ISA), Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) and Global Biofuels Alliance. She welcomed North Macedonia’s intent to join these initiatives and said that participation in these international initiatives would enable North Macedonia to draw on global best practices and technical expertise to promote renewable energy and disaster resilience.

The President announced India’s decision to double the number of Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) training slots for North Macedonia, including courses in Artificial Intelligence. Both leaders agreed that this visit will further consolidate the multifaceted partnership between India and North Macedonia and take it to new heights in the years ahead.

भारत की राष्ट्रपति, श्रीमती द्रौपदी मुर्मु मोल्दोवा, उत्तर मैसिडोनिया और रोमानिया की अपनी राजकीय यात्राओं के दूसरे चरण में कल शाम (20 जुलाई, 2026) स्कोप्ये, उत्तर मैसिडोनिया पहुंचीं। किसी भारतीय राष्ट्रपति की उत्तर मैसिडोनिया की यह पहली यात्रा है।

स्कोप्ये अंतरराष्‍ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा पहुंचने पर, उत्तर मैसिडोनिया के विदेश कार्य एवं  विदेश व्यापार मंत्री, श्री टिम्को मुकुन्स्की ने राष्‍ट्रपति का गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया।

इस राजकीय यात्रा पर राष्ट्रपति के साथ श्रीमती निमुबेन जयंतीभाई बांभणिया, उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण राज्य मंत्री, डॉ. दिनेश शर्मा, राज्‍य सभा सांसद और श्री विजय बघेल, लोकसभा सांसद भी गए हैं।

आज (21 जुलाई, 2026) राष्ट्रपति ने अपने कार्यक्रमों की शुरुआत विला वोडनो के दौरे से की। विला वोडनो उत्तर मैसिडोनिया की राष्ट्रपति का आधिकारिक निवास-सह-कार्यालय है। वहां उत्तर मैसिडोनिया की राष्ट्रपति, महामहिम डॉ. गोर्डाना सिलजानोव्स्का-दावकोवा ने राष्‍ट्रपति का गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया। उनका औपचारिक स्वागत किया गया और उन्‍हें गार्ड ऑफ़ ऑनर दिया गया। आमने-सामने की बैठक और प्रतिनिधिमंडल स्तरीय बातचीत के दौरान, दोनों नेताओं ने द्विपक्षीय सहयोग के सभी विषयों पर चर्चा की, और आपसी हित के क्षेत्रीय एवं वैश्विक मुद्दों पर विचारों का आदान-प्रदान किया। उन्होंने साझा लोकतांत्रिक मूल्यों और आपसी  सम्मान पर आधारित गहरे एवं मैत्रीपूर्ण द्विपक्षीय संबंधों के प्रति भरोसा जताया।

राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि आर्थिक सहयोग भारत और उत्तर मैसेडोनिया के द्विपक्षीय संबंधों का एक अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण स्तंभ है। उन्‍होंने आईटी/आईटीईएस, कृषि, फ़ूड प्रोसेसिंग, फ़ार्मास्यूटिकल्स, टेक्सटाइल और बायोटेक, पर्यटन, हॉस्पिटैलिटी, और फ़िल्म निर्माण सहित प्रमुख क्षेत्रों में सहयोग पर ज़ोर दिया।

राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि सांस्कृतिक संबंध और लोगों के बीच आपसी संबंध हमेशा से हमारे द्विपक्षीय रिश्तों के मजबूत स्तंभ रहे हैं। उन्‍होंने इस बात का उल्‍लेख किया कि क्रिएटिव इंडस्ट्री के क्षेत्र में सहयोग, सांस्कृतिक आदान-प्रदान का एक महत्‍वपूर्ण पहलू है।

राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि भारत इंटरनेशनल सोलर अलायंस (आईएसए), कोएलिशन फॉर डिजास्टर रेजिलिएंट इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर (सीडीआरआई) और ग्लोबल बायोफ्यूल्स अलायंस जैसी पहलों के जरिए अंतरराष्ट्रीय सहयोग को बढ़ावा देना चाहता है। उन्होंने इन पहलों से जुड़ने की उत्तर मैसिडोनिया की मंशा का स्वागत किया और कहा कि इन अंतरराष्ट्रीय पहलों में भाग लेने से उत्तर मैसिडोनिया को नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा और आपदा-रोधी क्षमता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए विश्‍व की सर्वश्रेष्‍ठ कार्य-पद्धतियों और तकनीकी विशेषज्ञता का लाभ उठाने में मदद मिलेगी।

राष्ट्रपति ने उत्तर मैसिडोनिया के लिए इंडियन टेक्निकल एंड इकोनॉमिक कोऑपरेशन (आईटीईसी) ट्रेनिंग स्लॉट की संख्या दोगुनी करने के भारत के निर्णय की घोषणा की; इसमें आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस के पाठ्यक्रम भी शामिल हैं। दोनों नेताओं ने इस बात पर सहमति जताई कि यह दौरा भारत और उत्तर मैसिडोनिया के बीच बहुआयामी साझेदारी को और मजबूत करेगा और आने वाले वर्षों में इसे नई ऊंचाइयों पर ले जाएगा।

Goyal further asked how come that US-Israel struck with precision on the hideout of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei leaving him dead with his family and personal guards, but they did not know about a school of small children?  Why did not even India condemn this? No other nation too has condemned attack on school children! Are we so insensitive to humanity? He appealed civil society globally to protest against war mongers.

Mr. Brij Bhushan Goyal is a sensitive writer with interests in literature and journalism. He feels happy when something good happens in society, but also sad when something painful happens. The attacks on schools in Iran shook him. Discussing the attacks, he became tearful and remarked on how much a child has to endure from birth to adulthood. The attackers crossed all limits of barbarity. Mr. Goyal remained silent even while enduring this shock. He has been active outside the home, meeting with all his known friends and intellectuals. He is asking the people of Ludhiana why they are not speaking out about this massive massacre. He reminded them that Ludhiana has produced great poets and leaders; at least remember them and speak out openly against this violence.

He said that anyone with even a shred of conscience, even a shred of humanity, should come forward and speak out openly. If you still remain careless, neither your future generations will forgive you nor will your God forgive you.

Mr. Goyal is taking serious note of which groups and intellectuals remain silent on such inhumane acts. In the near future, he will expose these silent figures. A short while ago, he spoke with renowned anchor Gaurav Shukla on this very issue in a special live program on News 18. The TV channel also broadcast this live conversation.

प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति इमैनुएल मैक्रॉन का हार्दिक स्वागत करते हुए यह भरोसा जताया कि यह यात्रा भारत-फ्रांस संबंधों को नई ऊंचाइयों पर ले जाएगी।

राष्ट्रपति मैक्रॉन की यात्रा के महत्व को रेखांकित करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि पहले मुंबई और फिर दिल्ली में होने वाली बैठकों में दोनों देशों के बीच कार्यनीतिक साझेदारी को नई गति मिलेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि दोनों देशों के बीच सहकार्य से न केवल दोनों देशों बल्कि व्यापक वैश्विक समुदाय को भी लाभ मिलता रहेगा।
